Patricia Steele is a HYBRID AUTHOR.
She is passionate about genealogy and has written the first two books in her Spanish Pearls Series (The Girl Immigrant and Silvan Leaves) under the author name of Patricia Ruiz Steele. She is a second-generation descendant of Spanish immigrants who sailed from Spain to the Hawaiian sugar plantations before re-immigrating to California in 1911-1912.
Patricia is one of several administrators for the Hawaiian Spaniards Facebook site, a member of the Arizona Genealogical Society, the Daughters of the American Revolution through her mother's Hubbard family tree and a volunteer for the Find A Grave organization. She calls herself a hybrid author because she also loves writing mysteries with a touch of romance. And cooking with wine (Cooking DRUNK cookbook tells it all), smelling scented, glorious flowers, traveling (gypsy blood) and her six grandchildren.
Here's a toast to my wonderful readers all the way from Venice, Italy... taken from my travel memoir, A ROUNDABOUT PASSAGE TO VENICE.
